You may withdraw your application at any time while it is pending

If you withdraw your application, the processing of it is discontinued and a decision is made to drop the application. The decision to drop an application cannot be appealed against to an administrative court.

• You may withdraw your application with a written notification in Finnish, Swedish, or English.
• The form of the notification is informal, but it must include the date and your signature.
• You may also withdraw your application via e-mail, but only via the e-mail address that you entered on your application.
• If you wish, you may also give a reason for withdrawing your application.
• Deliver your notification directly to the Finnish Immigration Service, a Finnish embassy or the police.

The processing fee will not be refunded even if you withdraw your application.
