Processing in the order received, enquiries in writing

At the moment it is not possible to expedite the handling of applications based on family ties, as the handling of requests for expediting the application will itself delay the decision-making process. The Finnish Immigration Service makes decisions on applications in the order they are received.

Enquiries concerning submitted applications will only be accepted in writing, by letter, fax or e-mail. These enquiries should be sent to the Finnish Immigration Service鈥檚 official addresses, and not, for example, to the e-mail address of the individual handling the application.

Enquiries should contain the applicant鈥檚 name and customer number, or at least the name of the sponsor and his or her Finnish social security number.
