Average processing times for applications at the Finnish Immigration Service
It is difficult to estimate the exact processing times for applications. The
processing times for individual applications vary to a great extent. The
processing times are longer if further clarifications are required. Clear and
simple cases are processed more quickly.
The table below shows the realized average processing times for applications.
The waiting times for decisions are generally longer because the processing
times at other authorities, such as the Finnish missions or the police, who
receive the applications, are included in the total processing time.
