Certificates and documents issued by the Finnish Immigration Service
The Finnish Immigration Service may, at your request, issue a certificate relating to the following matters that concern you:
Certificates may only be issued that relate to a matter in process or decided on at the Finnish Immigration Service. Information concerning your identity code, for example, is available from the local register office of your home municipality.
Travel documents
The Finnish Immigration Service issues refugee travel documents and alien’s passports.
Certificates issued by other authorities
As a rule, certificates issued by foreign authorities must be legalised and translated into Finnish, Swedish or English. More detailed information on legalisation is available on the Local Register Offices website.
